All About Women was founded in 1978 as a counseling center with a mission to serve the mental health needs of women in the greater Chicago community. It has evolved into a full-service center where women and their families are the focus of treatment.
All About Women partnered with The Men's Center over 20 years ago resulting in a greater range of treatment services. With a child and adolescent therapist as well as well as several addiction specialists on staff, All About Women is able to provide a well-rounded array of counseling services. Anne E. Kator, MSW, LCSW, with more than 30 years of counseling experience is All About Women's Director. All About Women is a place for women to feel respected and validated. Join in the search for understanding, direction, and comfort. Anne believes that the road to mental health is a journey to be shared and celebrated, not toughed out in an isolated painful manner.
ANNE E. KATOR, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, is a clinician and consultant with over 30 years of counseling experience. She is a marriage and family therapist as well as a certified sex therapist. Anne has a speciality in the diagnosis and treatment of affective disorders and in the treatment of sexually compulsive clients, both men and women. Anne earned a MSW degree from University of Illinois-Chicago. She has taught at several local colleges and has worked extensively at Loyola University's Sexual Dysfunctional Clinic. Anne is co-founder of REJOIN, a support group for men with sexual dysfunctions and their spouses.
The Men's Center, Inc. was created to provide a broader range of options for men and women struggling with their own personal issues. With more than 25 years of experience in counseling and psychotherapy as well as an expertise in men's issues, Barry Feldman, MA, LCSW, Director and founder of The Men's Center, helps people of all ages recognize how their problems affect the quality of their lives.
Barry is skilled at working with men's and women's issues, marital problems, adolescent self-esteem, depression, and addictions, most notably gambling. His clients appreciate his ease at making them feel comfortable and his belief in getting to know the whole person. He uses his emotional availability, theoretical knowledge, and life experience to help people solve problems, explore change, and create insight. By exploring all facets of a person's experience, he allows clients to apply new meanings to their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. Clients can then be helped to choose alternatives which bring hope and improvement within themselves and their relationships.
BARRY R. FELDMAN, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, received his MA from the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago in 1979. He spent several years at Jewish Family and Community Service and the St. Joseph's Hospital Department of Psychiatry before opening his private practice in 1983.
If you are considering therapy, we offer the following services in a relaxed and confidential setting
Barry and Anne are trained divorce mediators and use their expertise in couples counseling to assist both husband and wife to arrive at an agreed upon settlement. Mediation creates an environment where both parties' concerns are clearly heard in a safe and dignified way, and it is a low cost alternative to a litigated divorce. Our goal is to make divorce less traumatic for the couple and their children.
